Job Description

We're seeking a talented, part-time freelance graphic designer (20 hours per week) to join our marketing team for the next three months!
About the Position:

As a Freelance Graphic Designer within our internal marketing team, you'll be at the forefront of shaping and evangelizing Journey's visual brand narrative across all touchpoints. Working closely with our marketing and communications experts, you'll translate strategic objectives into captivating visual assets that communicate our brand values and messaging effectively. From concept to execution, you'll be pivotal in elevating our brand presence through visual storytelling and ensuring consistency across all channels.

Additionally, you will:
  • Collaborate with the internal marketing team to develop creative concepts for corporate communication materials, including pitch decks, social media campaigns, marketing collateral, internal communications, case studies, client presentations, white papers, and event materials.
  • Ensure alignment with brand strategy and messaging, maintaining brand consistency across all touchpoints.
  • Lead the design and production of brand elements, such as logos, typography, color palettes, and visual assets.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices to drive innovation and enhance our brand presence.
About You:

To excel in this role, you must have demonstrated experience in graphic design, particularly in corporate communications and branding. Your portfolio should showcase a history of successful projects that tell a story to effectively convey brand messages and values across various platforms. We're not looking for someone who only designs logos and other visual assets. Rather, we're looking for someone with the capacity to think strategically about design solutions, considering the broader context of business objectives and audience needs. You should be able to align your designs with the company's brand strategy and messaging goals.

Successful candidates will also have the following:
  • A deep understanding of branding principles and the ability to translate them into visually compelling designs.
  • A keen eye for detail, typography, and color theory, with a focus on maintaining brand consistency and integrity.
  • Experience communicating ideas and telling a story through graphics for white papers, presentations, etc. is a must
  • Expert proficiency with the Adobe Creative Suite
  • Expert proficiency with presentation software and tools (i.e., Google Slides, PowerPoint, Figma)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines
  • Degree in Design, Fine Arts, or a related field is a plus
Qualified candidates should submit their resume and portfolio with their application. Applications without portfolios will not be considered.

Please note: This is a part-time temporary position, and you can expect to work up to 20 hours per week.

Pay Rate: $38 - $42 per hour
